Indigo Indie Wedding Dreams | The French Farmhouse | Collinsville, Texas

If you haven’t added The French Farmhouse to your DFW Wedding Venue list to tour for your big wedding day, go ahead and pencil this baby in! We had the pleasure of curating the most beautiful Indigo Indie inspired design out at this phenomenal space, and the owner’s attention to detail is out of this world. From French Doorways (literally from France, y’all, not just a french inspired design), custom cake displays, endless natural light pouring in, touches of blue details - the amount of photo ops available in this space will have your Instagram-loving heart swooning (and your followers when they stumble on the stunning images from your big day!).

The Ceremony Space - Outdoor Ceremony

While the inside is plenty big for either a room-flip ceremony, or using the enclosed “porch” with the fireplace backdrop as an indoor ceremony option, you won’t want to miss the gorgeous sunsets available on the lawn under a massive tree canopy to say I do! We wanted to create a sleek, minimal and indie inspired ceremony design, while enhancing the beauty of the tree on-site, not blocking it. Render Events backdrop was the perfect fit, and their ceremony ground florals added the perfect touch of lush indie vibes.

THE TABLETOPS

When you walk into the reception space, there are endless possibilities when considering where to place your head table and dance floor. They have the most gorgeous architectural doors at one end of the farmhouse that could create the most stunning layered backdrop of a cake display and head table display. For this particular design, we opted to go with the ornate fireplace as our focal point for the head table and family tables.

A concrete tabletop with similar florals to the ceremony was the focal table for the bride and groom, and their respective honor attendants. Indigo details were carried out through the stationery and colorful goblets.

Flanking the head table were two family tables with custom ice-dyed indigo table linens by yours truly. We love finding ways to create truly unique elements to our clients wedding day that can’t be easily replicated, and what better way than with 100% custom made linens?? The creamy clay plates, modern gold flatware, vintage blue goblets, brass candlesticks and handmade vases lining the table popped beautifully against the various shades of blue in the linens. They also complimented the color palette and creamy tones of the venue walls perfectly!

The Couple

As mentioned before, the amount of photo-ops around the venue are endless! We also love how the bride had a sleek, modern Sara Sevens dress from The Lovely Bride in Dallas, Texas as her ceremony dress, and a more whimsical, free-flowing dress for the reception. The Bride’s soft waves and bridal beauty look from Etoilly Artistry created the perfect look that could easily transition between the two bridal dresses.
