After transitioning from the medical field, Heather traded lab coats for fabric swatches, combining a love for both science and creativity. Together with Ashley, a culinary-inspired visionary, and a team of fresh minds, we’ve built a company that prioritizes unique, curated, and personal experiences over rinse-and-repeat weddings. Let’s be real—if we wanted the same cookie-cutter wedding every weekend, we would be in a cubicle somewhere. But non-traditional weddings that push the envelope? Those are our jam. Think of it as creative chemistry—each wedding is a unique experiment, with its own color palette, vibe, and quirky details, all inspired by the couple and orchestrated for an iconic guest experience.

The “Branding” Experience
We’re here for the wild-at-heart couples who crave something bold, beautiful, and unapologetically them.
Our secret weapon? The “Epoch Branding” exercise. We guide each couple through crafting a simple 6-10 image Pinterest board—except this one isn’t filled with wedding inspo. It’s a reflection of what makes you tick as individuals.
The result? A design inspired by your unique essence, not a rinse-and-repeat copy of someone else’s wedding on Pinterest, TikTok, or Instagram. This is why our weddings can look so unique from one to the next.
From a beautifully curated tablescape that’s equal parts sophisticated and inviting, to a wild party that has your guests dancing ‘til dawn, we’ve got you covered. We’re Heather and Ashley, the dynamic duo behind Epoch Co+. With a background in a sensitive scientific lab environment, Heather’s precision and quick thinking are unmatched—turning even the most complex wedding logistics into a seamless, stress-free experience. Ashley, with her deep-rooted love for family, hospitality, and all things culinary, brings an innate understanding of guest experience that elevates every event to unforgettable status. Together, we fuse analytical brilliance with gastronomic flair, creating celebrations that don’t just look amazing but feel deeply personal, inviting, and one-of-a-kind, weaving logistics with imagination.
HEATHER ALANA
I’m Heather, the founder and fearless leader of Epoch Co, where weddings are anything but ordinary.
You might think someone with a background in biology would end up in a lab, but life had other plans for me. Before I was an Andrology Technologist on her path to med school and becoming a reproductive endocrinologist, I was at Texas A&M, hosting some of the most epic, themed parties in town. Picture glow-in-the-dark dance-offs and surprise guests popping out of giant, gift-wrapped boxes. Those days of planning and throwing wildly creative get-togethers left me with an itch I couldn’t shake.
Fast forward: I married, had a baby, and decided med school wasn’t my path. But what next? It turns out, life’s detours are where the magic happens. Before I knew it, I was curating and styling designs for other planners until one fateful private estate brunch wedding—a rainstorm, an MIA planner, and the family waiting for a miracle. With a background in a sensitive (physically and emotionally) scientific environment, my precision and quick thinking are unmatched— We saved the day (literally), and I realized then that I needed to be all in! I couldn’t continue just making things look pretty—I was all in for solving problems and creating experiences from start to finish.
My main goal is that you have one hell of a party! And with months of prep and checklists leading to it all (which we handle so you don’t have to worry your pretty little head), I think it’s important (and necessary) to have some fun with it.
ASHLEY MICHELLE
I developed by sense of hospitality while studying my dad in the kitchen. I’d perch on a stool, and with one dash and dollop at a time, help him feed a small army (aka our 30+ family members). My experience with hospitality and large family gatherings gives me a deep understanding of the guest experience. To watch something come to life, whether it be a recipe or a fabulous fête, gives me a great sense of accomplishment, but watching others enjoy what I’ve had a hand in creating, is a feeling unlike any other!
Since then I’ve loved cooking, baking, creating, and people. So, naturally when it was time for me to pick a major at Texas A&M, I chose… chemical engineering (did you just raise your eyebrow in confusion? Not surprised). Needless to say, it wasn’t for me. Working toward a degree in hospitality and a certificate in professional event management was much more my thing. I now focus on creative design and contagious joy. I have an (unofficial) minor in reception toasts, should anyone need a coach.
I want to be helpful in every way—even if that means sharing my own dancing shoes when you quickly regret your sky-high wedding pumps (story based on actual events)—because watching newlyweds enjoy their seamless day unfold truly fills my heart to the brim.
While I value tradition (that’s the Aggie in me speaking), I believe that it is way more fun to be unexpected and unique. If what’s expected of you doesn’t bring you joy, then ditch it (like I did) and head for the road less traveled. I can guarantee there is one hell of a party waiting for you.

Foundation
Pop the confetti! Let’s get this party started! After the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, we begin by establishing your event goals, investment breakdown, and personal style through foundational meetings and custom planning tools.
Planning Phase
We then curate your core vendor team and understand your unique “branding board” for well-rounded creative partner matchmaking and kicking off the Design Phase
Design
This is our favorite part! We refine the aesthetics to ensure every detail is visually stunning while also creating a layout that guides guests effortlessly through the space. The design doesn’t just look good—it dictates the flow, setting the stage for one hell of a party that’s as beautiful as it is fun. With detailed blueprints, mock-ups, and design renderings, we craft a space that’s equal parts gorgeous and immersive, where you and your guests can’t help but have a blast!
Production:
You don’t have to worry about a thing here - the production phase is where we manage logistics, begin any necessary builds, secure inventory and ensure seamless execution.
Management:
Finalize itineraries, manage on-site logistics, and ensure a smooth event experience, including rehearsals.
PARTY TIME
When the official time rolls around, all you have to worry about is eating, drinking and dancing the night away while our merry team of event managers oversee the event execution.
