I absolutely love first looks! We previously blogged about our reasons behind first looks, including examples for those wanting to do one with the groom, parent or wedding party. There are so many perks to doing a first look with your soon to be hubby or wife. The intimacy of doing one is absolutely amazing - and it in no way diminishes them seeing you walk down that aisle. What it DOES do for your wedding day, is allow you both to spend so much more time together! Do you realize that not doing a first look means you get to spend roughly 6 hours with your new spouse on such an amazing day!? THAT IS NOT A LOT! And those 6 hours are usually jam packed. A first look on your wedding day pre-ceremony allows you to both soak in the moment, talk to each other, exchange gifts, letters, private vows you don’t want to share with an audience….can you tell the list goes on? First Look with the Groom Portraits
We adored this sweet southern couple. Their first look was so precious and full of smiles! We even made sure they stayed cool by bringing them a nice cool beer in their adorable custom cups. Choosing to do a first look on the wedding day gave Kaleigh + Riley so much time together, to enjoy each other and each moment that followed without worrying about where one was or if the other was hidden. These two lovebirds got their first look out of the way, enjoyed some unforgettable moments together to reconnect and breath on their wedding day, before kicking off the ceremony and officially becoming husband and wife. How marvelous does that sound???
