Our wedding design team had the pleasure of planning alongside a wedding venue on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, The Meekermark, for their annual Date Night event. After meeting with the venue staff, our planners went to work gathering the missing vendor details and information for a “Modern Palm Springs Romance” design. Our team loves all things tropical and beachy - we wanted to take our love for island life and infuse it into the design that would perfectly compliment the agrarian meets modern charm of the venue.

THE DECOR

Our team created a focal head table for design inspiration that fully embraced the modern + palm springs + romantic vibe. With Valentine’s Day being the special day of the event, we put our heads together with Urban Rubbish and chose to stick with bleached + white + creamy florals, adding in pink and peach tones. For linens, we incorporated luxe velvet linens in various tones of mauve, toffee and cream, with pops of amethyst provided by House of Hough. Pink napkins that played off of the protea colors were at each place setting with a delicious cupcake from Truly Scrumptious.

THE BRIDAL LOOK

A design isn’t complete without a model bride - read florist turned model (Evann you rock!!!) - to round out the whole look! We were thrilled to get Evann all dolled up to model the best floral head piece and bleached + palm springs bridal bouquet. It gave me all the boho, beachy vibes and made my heart sing!!!

Ivanov Artistry captured our look and vibe perfectly with the most fabulous braid incorporated! It embraced the romantic meets boho look effortlessly and the floral piece rounded out the “modern palm springs” aspect of the design. The whimsical bleached ferns….y’all, it was magic!
