Intimate Non-Traditional Wedding with Restaurant Reception | Austin, TX | Epoch Co+
Ashley and Anthony were not your typical couple when it came to planning their wedding. With one grandparent having recently passed away and others experiencing health issues, they knew they wanted to prioritize family over tradition. So, rather than a grand, sprawling affair, they chose a more intimate route: eloping with their closest family members in tow.
The Texas Hill Country had always held a special place in their hearts. Ashley’s family regularly found themselves celebrating at Trattoria Lisina, a charming Italian restaurant nestled in the rolling hills, and Anthony started to join them as well. It was there, surrounded by stunning views and a warm atmosphere, that Ashley and Anthony decided to tie the knot. The venue’s rustic elegance and their fond memories made it the ideal spot for their unique celebration.
Their wedding day began with a sense of relaxed joy. Ashley and Anthony spent leisurely mornings with their families, savoring every moment of getting ready for their special day. This intimate preparation allowed them to share personal moments and enjoy each other's company before the big event.
Wanting the day to start off just the two of them, doind a first look was a high priority. As they prepared for their first look, their family members discreetly peeked from behind the scenes, eager to witness the couple’s emotional reveal. This private moment was a perfect blend of intimacy and family presence, encapsulating the essence of their elopement.
The ceremony itself was a heartwarming occasion, attended by their 15 closest family members in the pavilion at Trattoria Lisina. The setting was picturesque, with the grape fields forming a beautiful backdrop. At a wedding Anthony helped the Epoch team at in Montana, the couple had done a hand-fasting ceremony, and he and Ashley fell in love with this. During the ceremony, each of their Mom’s tied the braid around their hands, creating a beautiful moment. It was a celebration that felt uniquely theirs, free from the pressures of a traditional wedding but full of sincere emotion and connection.
After the ceremony, the festivities continued inside the restaurant. The couple and their guests enjoyed a spectacular lunch featuring Italian cuisine, expertly prepared by the Trattoria Lisina chefs. The meal was paired with cocktails, laughter, and engaging conversations, making for a delightful and memorable experience.
Though they chose to elope, Ashley and Anthony are not skipping out on celebrating with the rest of their extended family and friends. They have planned a grand party for the fall, where they will have the chance to share their joy with everyone who couldn’t make it to their intimate ceremony. Stay tuned for more pictures and stories from their autumn celebration!

THE VIBE
THE VIBE
She loves Italy, he loves Ranches, and they both love green, so when creating their vibe, they combined the two with a neutral color palette. With an Italian restaurant as their venue, and lots of cowboy touches, they meshed their styles perfectly. Not wanting a typical “green and white” wedding, they added lots more warm tones and some fun floral elements to break away from that more traditional style.
