Vintage Industrial Ceremony Inspiration | The Gin at Hidalgo Falls | Epoch Co+

Do you remember our blog post introducing the new wedding venue, The Gin at Hidalgo Falls? We eluded to a styled shoot we designed there to give future brides and grooms a glimpse at the beautiful vintage industrial venue that was coming to the outskirts of College Station Fall 2018! Our wedding planning team is super excited to finally share more images with you to showcase this stunning design alongside some of our favorite friends (vendors that are friends) now that the inspiration photoshoot has gone live with WHITE Magazine!

The Gin at Hidalgo Falls

Rich with History, The Gin at Hidalgo Falls is a restored 1950’s cotton gin just an hour outside of Houston, Texas. It’s set to open as a wedding venue Fall of 2018, and our planning team, Epoch Co+, (along with a wonderful team of friendors) has put together an exclusive look at the venue and it’s best photo spots. Fully renovated while keeping its charm, it’s the perfect inspiration for brides dreaming of that vintage and industrial look. Below are more details on how it all came together through the artistic eye of Ten23 Photography’s stunning photography.

Industrial Ceremony inspiration

The venue is rich with history and perfectly incorporates vintage-industrial design with modern details and amenities. With the venue still under construction, we did what we thought was best to capture the various brides in our surrounding cities (multicultural and body positive) to create a comprehensive look to potential clients – and one that gives respect and a welcoming message to all couple’s alike. All the while, maintaining the table decor to be reflective of the owner’s branding board.

The Silos

At the edge of the fields are also two fantastic silos that are aged to perfection and can create the perfect location near sunset for a late ceremony or sweetheart images of the newlyweds when the sun provides a dreamy glow!

Cotton Fields

The back side of the wedding venue is also surrounded by active cotton fields. These fields provide the perfect backdrop for ceremonies! Planting of the cotton seeds usually takes place by April, but can happen as late as May. Seedlings can emerge within a week, and the cotton morphology begins until harvest. Harvest in the area can occur between late August and Early September, and is dependent on the weather patterns.

The Gin - Porch

If the fields aren’t calling your name, and you adore The Gin structure itself – we think there are two fabulous locations to have an outdoor ceremony facing the wedding venue. The left end will have a gorgeous porch that is right off one of the getting ready suites that can house an outdoor ceremony option, (think rows of chairs for immediate family and standing ceremony with cocktail tables for larger events) or on the backside of the venue is an expansive wrap-around porch with the perfect little cove – which is where we chose to feature during this styled shoot.
