We are smitten with the newest wedding venue addition to the Brazos Valley Bridal Association, The Gin at Hidalgo Falls! The venue is rich with history and perfectly incorporates vintage-industrial design with modern details and amenities. Epoch Co+ had the pleasure of touring this amazing Cotton Gin restoration and we absolutely can't wait to plan and coordinate many weddings at The Gin!

The Ceremony Space - Cotton Fields

Did you know the back side of the wedding venue is surrounded by active cotton fields? These fields provide the perfect backdrop for ceremonies! Planting of the cotton seeds usually takes place by April, but can happen as late as May. Seedlings can emerge within a week, and the cotton morphology begins until harvest. Harvest in the area can occur between late August and Early September, and is dependent on the weather patterns.

At the edge of the fields are also two fantastic silos that are aged to perfection and can create the perfect location near sunset for a late ceremony or sweetheart images of the newlyweds when the sun provides a dreamy glow!

If the fields aren't calling your name, and you adore The Gin structure itself - we think there are two fabulous locations to have an outdoor ceremony facing the wedding venue. The left end will have a gorgeous porch that is right off one of the getting ready suites that can house an outdoor ceremony option, (think rows of chairs for immediate family and standing ceremony with cocktail tables for larger events) or on the backside of the venue is an expansive wrap-around porch with the perfect little cove. We can already envision lush greenery vining up the Gin for an elegant, garden-meets industrial wedding!

Rainy weather dampening your big day? The spacious 4,000 sq ft venue can easily house an indoor ceremony option at either far end of the venue, then transition during cocktail hour for a seamless room-flip.

Reception Space - The Gin

After the ceremony, guests can linger on the expansive surrounding covered porches for cocktail hour, or they can immediately enter the Gin with it's souring ceilings, original exposed beams, and modern touches filled with natural lighting.

Epoch Co+ has been absolutely thrilled with the idea of The Gin! We took the time to meet Laura (and her sweet family!) to see the construction phases of the venue. Even with the beginning bones of The Gin, we love it just the way it is, and we are ecstatic to see Laura, her family and her team's vision become a reality!
