Festival Wedding Weekend

PRIVATE PROPERTY | WIMBERLY, TX

If you’re searching for a wedding that is wow-worthy, full of feeling, and a bit alternative, you’ve stumbled on the right gallery.

Before you start scrolling, throw your wedding playbook out the window. Better yet, take a note from B+Robin’s untraditional festival-inspired wedding and light it up via sacred fire circle.

Feast your eyes on this gallery and you’ll see rules are only meant to be broken.

Robin + B have a gorgeous property in Wimberley, Texas, where they wanted to host their community of friends and family for a music festival/spiritual-nature-retreat hybrid wedding in the woods.

B + Robin envisioned their wedding as a way to express who they are as a couple while showcasing their larger-than-life love to family and friends in a remarkable way. Our hearts tingle at a challenge, so Epoch worked closely alongside Robin + B designing a wedding experience worthy of an encore.

We transformed the couple’s property to support an epic wedding weekend filled with love and wonderment. Starting with a raw canvas, we dreamed up a community of glamping tents, designed cuddle coves and lounge areas, and erected a communal kitchen for Rafiki, a renowned vegan festival chef, to keep everyone full throughout their stay.

Friday - Community

Friday was focused on community and building. Led by Nate “Nature” Hogan, an internationally-acclaimed nature installation artist, guests worked together to create “nests” throughout the grounds. Besides serving as a unique ice breaker, the nest sanctuaries were deemed sacred spaces and lent a dream-like quality to our mystical forest venue.

The day concluded with a song ceremony, wind song, and Kirtan Song Circle before a sacred fire was lit. It was kept aflame the entire weekend by a designated fire keeper.

Saturday Wedding

Saturday was steeped in ceremony. The day commenced with his and her cacao ceremonies, an ancient ritual meant to open hearts and encourage communal connection before the sharing of “I dos.” Then everyone took time to reflect and get ready for the most organic and captivating ceremony held on a spring-fed creek.

Friends turned family, Jaya and Hayley, jetset from Guatemala to officiate the traditional ceremony. Hayley’s ethereal voice rang through the forest and carried B down the path and into the water to meet her groom, where they could be connected to the pure energy of the land.

We weaved traditional wedding practices with non-traditional elements, including a rose ceremony, during which B anointed Robin with a flower dipped in spring water, and the groom’s smoke ceremony, to signify and celebrate new beginnings and bring about positive energy. To conclude the union, Robin surprised B with a feather to honor her Apache heritage.

As B + Robin emerged from the creek, guests lined the pathways to present precious crystals and bless the newlyweds before gathering at the sacred fire location for a rhythmic drum circle.

Every magical moment was a dedication to B + Robin and their unique love story.

After B+Robin tied the knot, it was time for the next act. If music is the language of love, then a festival-inspired wedding weekend is the ultimate celebration. The reception was celebration of all that is important – life, people, nature, food, music and passion.

After an enchanting family-style dinner, nestled under custom made naked teepees and immersed in nature, the festivities continued with a special aerialist performance and live acts by the Great Medicine Show and Porangui, an artist and healer who uses sound to foster a collective wellbeing. Guests were hypnotized and enthralled by the entire show.

As the sun set, B changed into custom-made moccasins and a traditional buckskin dress, featuring a major fringe moment. Reveling continued into the wee hours, with special appearances made by troupes of fire and costumed dancers. Afterall, a festival-inspired wedding wouldn’t be complete without some LED wings.

There was no shortage of love or awe this entire weekend! After guests danced the night away on Saturday, they were greeted Sunday with rest and relaxation, a dip in the spring and hearty vegan breakfast through the communal kitchen. Guests gathered, played music, sang songs and enjoyed the presence of all the amazing souls around them before parting ways.

You live life to the fullest, so why would you stick your wedding in a box? Others may tell you your vision is impossible but we are here to show you ...

When you show up with love, anything is possible.
