I think it is no surprise to anyone that there is a wedding boom on the horizon and the event industry has been forever changed from the pandemic. Creatives, couples and guests have experienced celebrating the biggest moments in our lives in a much different way the last year, and with that came some changes that people are actually embracing for the long haul.

BRIDES did an amazing article sharing “50+ Pandemic Wedding Trends That are Here to Stay for Good” and we are so incredibly proud to say we were quoted alongside some of the most iconic industry professionals we admire and look up to!

“Outdoor Spaces Remain a Priority”

You can find our quote under the “Outdoor Spaces Remain a Priority”. We strongly feel that not only will events gravitate toward smaller, more intimate numbers, but the way people see their home and family properties will also be a large deciding factor on celebrations.

We had the pleasure of hosting an intimate hindu ceremony outside of Houston, Texas at the groom’s family home with the most gorgeous backyard space as an option! Our team worked tediously alongside the couple and families to make sure everyone’s opinions and needs were validated and heard. We kept with a more traditional color palette, but adding a slight spin to create a Modern Indian Renaissance vibe. The ceremony had an emphasis on marigold, red, orange, cream with pops of blue, while we flipped the script for the luncheon portion adding an emphasis to the blues in runners, napkins, goblets and china details.

The planning was intentional around the few family members invited, and the sizes of those households. We opted to use some on-site tables in the garden-oasis backyard for the smaller 2 and 4 top tables, then brought in gorgeous agrarian elements from LOOT for the larger families.

The overall day allowed for a very leisurely experience for both the families and the couple. They were in the comfort of a family home, in a familiar space, celebrating with those nearest and dearest to them. An extremely meaningful touch was the groom’s mother had passed, and in a far edge of the yard is where her ashes had been buried, and where they chose to start the Baraat. Choosing to celebrate on the family property allowed her to be there in a symbolic way that would not have been possible had they chosen to get married elsewhere. By adding intentional decor and florals, the already stunning landscape became the perfect backdrop for celebrating two families becoming one.
