First Look with Taylor + Derek | Bride + Groom | Prospect House, Austin, Texas | Epoch Co+

We are back again with another PHENOMENAL bride + groom first look in Austin, Texas, at Prospect House.. WOOHOO! Taylor + Derek not only opted for first look, but for a private vow reading. We love this idea for those looking for an intimate moment on their wedding day. You can still have your vows you read in front of your guests during the ceremony, but if there are any super intimate things you would love to say to your significant other, but do not care to announce to an audience, a first look is the best time to do those!

I remember looking back at these images when Century Tree Productions sent over the sneak and literally yelling with excitement. Taylor and Derek are something straight out of Vogue magazine with their exciting and care-free personalities. Taylor’s Rue De Seine dress and booties were the perfect choice to allow them to galavant through the fields surrounding Prospect House. The way her hair and dress flowed with her movement, and their stunning smiles - you can’t help be feel 100% joy radiating from their images. And they are so damn beautiful you almost think there is no way this is a real wedding, it has to be styled! But NOPE. Real life couple goals right here, y’all! Prepare to swoon and be inspired!

PRIVATE VOW READING

If you look at these private vow images and it DOES NOT inspire you to do your own….I don’t know what will. Century Tree Productions literally captured MAGIC as this sweet couple exchanged their heart-felt private vows with each other. I love how Taylor wore the perfect booties that allowed them to adventure into the gorgeous countryside to read their vows. I look at these and really wish I would have done something like this on my own wedding day. To see the joy, the tears and LOVE these two have for each other….the time they got to privately enjoy together….it is absolutely beautiful and inspiring!

Bride + Groom Outdoor Wedding Portraits - Prospect House

One amazing perk about doing a first look before the ceremony with your significant other is the amount of time you get to spend with one another! Can you imagine waiting until 5:30 pm to see your soon-to-be hubby, and then it is in front of an entire audience. Afterward, you have to crank out your entire list of pictures you crafted before the wedding day which can be 30 minutes to an hour depending on how long your photo wish list is, how big your families are, and how large your wedding party is. THEN you usually have to get ready for introductions, potentially a first dance and then you finally get to sit down to dinner 1-1.5 hours later. Now you get roughly 3-4 solid hours together, but the majority of the time you have numerous guests coming up and congratulating you both. If you have a solid wedding planner, they hopefully scheduled some alone time for you both, either at sunset or after dinner at some point. But you can’t leave your guests for too long, so this is usually only 30 minutes. This is YOUR wedding day. The day you chose to become husband and wife. You should not have to hide from each other for the majority of the day. Unless you are in an arranged marriage and worried your partner will run once they see you come through those doors or lift your veil…you are okay to skip this “tradition”, because that is how it originated. If you are still on the fence about a first look, check out these gorgeous images Taylor + Derek enjoyed together pre-ceremony after their first look.
