Boho Glam Bridal Shower | Mary Beth Urban Rubbish | Epoch Co

While we are most known for wedding planning and coordinating, something we absolutely adore doing is styling; and styling for friends is even better. Back in May I got the great honor of working for and with one of my closest friends to style her beautiful boho bridal shower in College Station. I would just like to make it known how excited I am that Boho Glam is a style that is being chosen more and more often here in Texas!

Vision

With Mary Beth being the newest member of the Urban Rubbish team, and I being the newest member of the EPOCH CO+ team, we couldn’t wait for an opportunity to work together as newly graduated adults. When the opportunity to work together even sooner on her bridal shower arose, we jumped right into creating the perfect shower she could imagine. After placing every little piece perfectly together it was finally time! We were able to work with two amazing photographers on the project, Ten 23 Photography and To The Fourth Studios. With the help from each vendor and the hard work put in my Mary Beth’s mom and sisters, we were even able to get featured on Brides of Houston (can you say DREAM come true!!).

Floral

We had a blast creating the color and design theme. As always the arrangements from Urban Rubbish were amazing with Protea and blooming tulips, they portrayed perfectly the unique feel that we had envisioned for the event. I could gush more about my love of Mary Beth’s talents, but I’ll save that for another time.

Lounge

Driven by our desire for completely unique aspects, and the ability to provide enough seating for every guest in attendance, we created our “main attraction” for the day. We were able to curate a large lounge area, incorporating multiple pieces, all thanks to the help from our amazing friend/my boss Heather. Each color throughout the specialty rugs, sofas, and armchairs did the ideal job of pulling together each aspect of the event.

Games

Of course, no shower is complete without some light snacks, Sunday afternoon mimosa’s and fun bridal shower games. Mary Beth’s sisters were the brain behind this part of the day. The games definitely would not have been any fun had they been left up to me. As much as I love coordinating and designing decor, creating games is not my forte. We played games such as “Guess The Age” that had pictures of the bride from ages 1-10, “He Said, She Said” where guests could guess whether the bride or the groom were first to set relationship milestones, and “Say Yes to the Dress” that got all guests involved in creating fun toilet paper wedding gowns. All the guests also had their pictures taken with a polaroid camera for a scrapbook in place of a sign-in book (another stroke of genius from the bride-to-be’s sisters). To finish, before saying goodbye, guests were able to take pictures with the bride in front of a herringbone/chevron wall (another piece from Vestige Event Rentals).

The New Mr. and Mrs. Wesley

Such an amazing day, filled with amazing fellow vendors. Work is always worth it when the bride/client is so easy to celebrate! We here at EPOCH are overjoyed and blessed that we have the opportunity to continue to watch this sweet Wesley family grow. Here's to many happy years to come!
